This policy explains how Prezzie (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
We collect information you provide directly when you sign up, manage your account, enter promotions, or claim a prize. This includes your name, email address, date of birth, Australian state of residence, and, where you win a physical prize, the postal address you supply for delivery.
When you subscribe or purchase a token package, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we retain only references and metadata returned by Stripe (such as customer and payment identifiers and the last four digits of your card).
We also automatically collect technical information when you use the service, including IP address, device and browser information, session cookies, and a log of actions taken on your account.
We collect and use your information to: create and manage your membership; verify that you are at least 18 and an Australian resident; determine eligibility for jurisdiction-specific promotions; grant and track Prezzie tokens; record game plays and prize awards; deliver prizes; process payments and refunds; provide customer support; detect and prevent fraud or misuse; and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including trade-promotion permit conditions.
We share personal information only where necessary to run the service or where required by law. This includes:
Stripe, our payment processor, for subscription billing and one-time purchases.
Prize fulfilment partners and digital gift-card providers, to deliver prizes you have won.
Email and hosting providers that support the operation of the service.
Government regulators (such as state and territory gaming or fair-trading authorities) where required to demonstrate compliance with trade-promotion permits.
Professional advisers and law enforcement where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not disclose it for third-party marketing.
Some service providers we rely on (notably Stripe) store and process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs.
Personal information is stored in access-controlled databases and transmitted over encrypted connections. We restrict access to staff and contractors who need it to operate the service. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We retain account, transaction, game-play, and prize records for as long as your account is active and for the period required to meet our legal and trade-promotion record-keeping obligations. Our audit log is append-only and is retained for regulatory compliance even after an account is closed.
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage of the service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Prezzie is strictly for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information we will delete it.
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting support through your account. You may also request that we delete information that we are not required by law to retain. We will respond within a reasonable period.
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
We may update this policy from time to time. The version date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated to active members.
For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, please contact support through your account.
